Senior Systems Administrator

We are looking for a senior systems administrator to help develop, deploy, manage and maintain web applications and infrastructure for our award winning Language and Culture Training systems. Our web applications are three-tiered rich applications using JEE and MySQL, Flex and Java Swing, running on Linux.

Your duties will be:

• Manage the operations and deployment of our suite of web applications.
• Work as the systems administrator, maintaining our web sites and Intranets.
• Set up and maintain our servers.

• 8+ years of professional experience
• Good knowledge of Linux to install/configure/operate web applications.
• Experience with web content management tools. Experience in setting up and managing a site using Joomla is a big plus.
• Experience with J2EE (now JEE5) deployment.
• Comfortable with web services technologies (e.g., WSDL, JAXB).
• Experience reviewing logs to diagnose problems.
• Able make simple code changes and fix minor bugs.
• Understanding of XML technologies (e.g., XSLT, XML Schemas) and Web standards.
• Experience with LAMP applications is a plus.
• Experience with wikis (e.g., Trac, Daisy) is a plus.
• Enjoys getting things done.
