Marketing Assistant
We are looking for a marketing assistant. This individual will pursue marketing opportunities in our current market sectors (sales to government and military organizations in the United States and other countries) and help develop new markets in education and training. This position has growth potential, as we build our marketing staff. This position reports to the company President.
Responsibilities include:
- Developing and maintaining relationships with customers; managing customer contacts.
- Acquiring knowledge to understand the customer needs and communicating clearly how our products and services can meet those needs.
- Developing marketing and press materials.
- Organizing trade show exhibits.
- Developing product summaries and fact sheets.
- Giving product demonstrations and presentations.
- Assisting in the development of product summaries and reports.
- Working with the executive team in defining new products and developing new markets.
- Identifying new opportunities and help prepare proposals and offers.
- Provide customer service and support.
- Participate in the quality assurance of our products and services.
- Travel to customer sites for meetings and to deliver products and services.
Required Skills:
- 3+ years overall experience in a sales or marketing role in an educational software or game company, or in a service provider for government markets
- BA/BS required
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Advanced analytical and strategic thinking skills
- Ability to take initiative, set objectives, and meet them
- Practical knowledge of software systems and consumer hardware platforms
- Familiarity with computer-based productivity tools
- Enjoys getting things done in a fast-paced collegial environment
Desired Skills:
- Experience in Web development and Audio/Video editing programs
- Experience in games and game development
- Military experience
- Interest in learning foreign languages
