Game Development Intern

The ideal candidate has participated in a team of programmers through a full successful commercial game development cycle using the Unreal Engine or a similar 3D game engine.

The candidate should have extensive experience with developing real-time applications in C++ and have experience with and interest in AI and interactive computer graphics. The candidate should have good architecture design skills, the ability to work with and integrate a number of disperse technologies, and flexibility in dealing with new technologies and programming languages. Good communications and leadership skills are important.

This is a full time position. We are also open to interns that can dedicate at least 20/hours a week and/or want to work full time during this summer.

Education and experience requirements:

• 4+ years of overall programming experience, at least 1 year of professional development experience (including internships)
• B.S. in Computer Science or equivalent degree/experience.

• Experience in C++ programming and specific experience with 3D game engines.
• Experience with scripting languages (specific experience with Python and/or Unreal Script is a plus).
• Experience in game AI programming is a definite plus.
• Experience with level editing, XML parsing and networking all a plus.

• Proven ability to meet deadlines, prioritize workload, and manage a team effectively.
• Excellent communication skills.
• Good writing skills, especially in writing white papers and task descriptions.
• US citizenship highly preferred or permanent resident.
• Enjoys getting things done in a fast-paced collegial environment.
